Das wunderbare Onlinemagazin The Vinyl Factory präsentierte heute den VF Mix 148: St. Germain by Jonny Drop. In rund 80 Minuten Spielzeit verarbeitet der Mix des Drummers und Producers Johnny Drop insgesamt 28 Songs. 15 davon stammen vom französischen House- und Nu Jazz-Musiker Ludovic Navarre, besser bekannt unter seinen Künstlernamen St. Germain.
St. Germain hat 1995 sein erstes, und 2015 sein viertes und bisher letztes Album veröffentlicht. Herausragend ist hierbei zweifelsfrei das im Jahr 2000 bei Blue Note Records veröffentlichte „Tourist“, auf dem sich mit „Rose Rouge“, „Montego Bay Spleen“, „So Flute“ oder auch “Sure Thing“ gleich mehrere Klassiker befinden.
